INSTRl"iENTATION AND CONTROL INSPECTION (SBICI)
I would like to inform you that the NRC will perform a system based instrumentation and control inspection (SBICI) at the Point Beach Nuclear Power Plant.
The onsite inspection activities are scheduled for the weeks of January 10, January 24, and February 7,1994.
The inspection will assess design, operation, maintenance, surveillance, quality assurance, and corrective actions associated with instrumentation and control systems.
To accomplish its objectives, the SBICI team will review a broad range of information and activities for the 1&C system loops selected.
The attachment to this letter lists the initial items which the team expects to review.
The list is being provided to allow you to anticipate the team's informational needs.
I request your assistance in making this information available for review during the January 10-14, 1994, pre-inspection visit.
