NUMARC REPRESENTATIVES j

On August 25, 1993, representatives of the radiation protection staff of. the

-i Nuclear Management and Resources Council (NUMARC) met with NRC headquarters l

radiation protection management and staff members at One White Flint North to discuss topics of mutual interest concerning radiation protection at nuclear oower reactors related to the new Part 20.

I was the senior NRC headquarters staff representative at the meeting and John Schmitt was the senior NUMARC representative. A complete list of attendees is enclosed. This meeting was open to the public.

The topics discussed were as follows:

1.

Feasibility of industry developing a technical position for proper monitoring of neutron doses to workers when implementing the new Part 20.

General discussion of possible impacts upon industry relative to possible changes to the new Part 20.
