CONFIRMATION OF NRC INSPECTION OF QUALITY ASSURANCE PROGAM AND CONTROLS FOR ADVANCED BOILING WATER REACTOR (ABWR) DESIGN ACTIVITIES AT GE NUCLEAR ENERGY The Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation staff will be conducting an inspec-tion at the GE Nuclear Energy (GE) offices in San Jose, California on Septem-ber 7 through 10, 1993. The inspection team will consist of Messrs. Richard McIntyre, George Thomas, Robert Gramm, Billy Rogers, Robert Pettis, Joseph Staudenmeier, Sam Malur, and H. Cheng of Brookhaven National Laboratory.
The inspection will review the quality assurance programs and controls implemented to support design activities for the ABWR. Mr. McIntyre and Mr. Poslusny discussed the scope and details of the inspection with Mr. P. E. Novak, et al., of your staff on August 24, 1993.
