On August 26, 1993, Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Dr. David A. Kessler and I were pleased to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between our two agencies.
The MOU that we signed will formalize the coordination of existing NRC and FDA programs and our commitment to share

information on subjects of mutual interest to each other. 'This greater sharing of information between our two agencies will lead to added protection of the public health and safety in the i
medical use of radioactive material.
