DPR-42 50-306 DPR-60 Submittal of Revision 2 of the 3rd 10-Year Inservice Testine (IST) Protram to the Peauire' rents of ASME Sectionll Attached is the ASME Code Section XI Inservice Testing (IST) Program, Revisica 2 for the third ten-year interval for Units 1 and 2 of the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant. We had originally (June 16, 1993) submitted for review an earlier version of the IST Progam.
The changes between the earlier version and this one are indicated by sidebars.
The Program is being developed to the following specific revisions of the Code: ASME Section XI, 1989 Edition; ASME/ ANSI OM, OMa-1988 Addenda to the OM-1987 Edition.
We are invoking the positions stated in Generic Letter 89-04 in the development of the Program.
In addition, we assume the Generic Letter guidance is also applicable to OM 6 and CM 10.
Alternate forms of testing that conform to the requirements of Attachment 1 of the Generic Letter have been included in the Program without a Request for Relief and are documented in the Plant IST Program Plan, H10.1.
The Unit 1 portion of this Program will oecome effective on December 16, 1993 and the Unit 2 portior will become effeccive on December 21, 1994.
We will provide you with updates to the Inservice Testing Program Manual for information whta significant revisions have been incorporated (e.g.,
the addition of new components because of a significant modification to the plant).
Future Requests for Relief will be submitted if the need occurs.
