Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSNM02769), recently received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of low-enriched uranium for conversion of UF6 to 002 and pelletizing at ABB ATOM AB, in Sweden, and return to Combustion Engineering in the United States. Assurances from Sweden are required that the material will be subject to all of the terms and conditions of an agreement for cooperation.
Your assistance in obtaining the necessary assurances will be appreciated.
Please note the urgency expressed by the applicant. Combustion Engineering has scheduled their first shipment for September 8.
