Manacement Action:
Management actions enhancing the Fitness for Duty program during this reporting period were:

Entergy expanded its existing contract agreement with the company supplying its j
o drug-testing equipment, Abbott Laboratories. This enhancement, which included

additional hardware and updated software will decrease the processing time of pre '

which time the indisidual went to the EAP for evaluation. One contractor and one l

were named to the Fitness for Duty department.
o There was one FFD Appeal during this report period. The Appeals Board j
concluded that the actions associated with the positive drug test were valid and i
upheld the original positive test decision.

The upgrade from the Alco Sensor III to the Alco Sensor IV continues to be well o
accepted by individuals being tested and Fitness for Duty staff.
The enhancement to Abbott's drug testing equipment was completed in January.

l Effectiveness Evaluation:

The Site Quality Programs department conducted an audit of the Fitness for Duty j
o Program. The audit tea.a and the Forensic Toxicologist which served as the audit technical specialist, concluded that the program is being effectively implemented.'

The Fitness for Duty Section continues to update and revise Fitness for Duty procedures based on operating experience, lessons learned and NRC audits j
conducted at other nuclear sites.
