Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attention:

Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555 Gentlemen:

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION TO AMENDMENT REQUEST INCREASED VOLTAGE LIMIT FOR IDAD REJECTION TEST FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-57 IlOPE CREEK GENERATING STATION DOCKET NO. 50-354 This letter is in response to a question posed by the NRC review staff concerning License Change Request 91-03 for the Hope Creek Generating Station.

The question pertained to the effect on the generator and components upstream of the diesel generator output breaker that will be subjected to a momentary voltage increase that could be as high as 15% above nominal during the performance of the full load rejection test.

The voltage spike that occurs during the voltage regulator response following the fu.11 load rejecticn has ' uen evaluated and c

will have negligible effecu on the generatcr or any of the components, (eg., relays, meters, voltage regulator, transformers, etc. ), that are upstream of the g merator output breaker.

The service life of these components will not be decreased as a result of performing this test every 18 months.

If you have any further questions, please call S. Mannon (609) 339-1129, of my staff.

Sinc rely, k
