Dear Dr. Murley:

Commonwealth Edison (CECO) submitted the Zion Station Fire Protection Report via reference (a). Since that time, various aspects of the program have been updated and addressed through correspondence to and from NRC. The most recent of these updates was I

transmitted via reference (b). The purpose of this letter is to provide the most recent update to the Fire Protection Report.

The Fire Hazards Analysis (FHA). Volume 2, has been updated to reflect plant changes made through February 22,1993, the end of the Unit 2 Cycle 12 refueling outage. In addition, Volume 2 was updated to reflect the relocation of the UFSAR Fire Protection information to the FHA. Administrative changes were made to the NRC SER section of Volume 3.

Attachment A is a Change Log which describes the individual changes made to the FHA and SER, sections. Attachment B contains the replacement pages, new index and an instruction sheet for inserting the changes.
