Dear Mr. Nowlen:
Enclosed are documents which will be required for you to respond to a request for proposal on an upcoming task order under FIN J-2018 and, subsequently, to successfully perform the work. The documents relate to the ampacity derating analyses of Thermo-Lag protected cable systems directed by Thermal Science, Inc. The subject memoranda also include staff concerns which are to be addressed in the task order.
This letter is not an authorization to begin work on this task order. The authorization to begin work on the upcoming task order will be provided in a letter signed by the NRC Project Manager after agreement is reached on the acceptability of your proposal.
