Region I for training a a 1,.a. : ear power industry regulator. As part of that training, they will be visiting some of the i.d ar powered electric generating stations in NRC Region I.

It is currently planned that Messrs. G. Fichtinger and Y. Harizanov will visit the Beaver Valley -
Power Station the week of August 23,1993 to observe the licensed operator requalification examination and work with the resident inspectors. The following week (August 30) all four j
individuals will observe the station blackout inspection and work with the resident inspectors.
They have not completed general training in radiological protection, security, and personal safety. Therefore, I am requesting that they be afforded escorted access to your facility. Should i
you require any additional information or perceive any problem _with this request, please call.
This letter is effective upon receipt and expires on October 31, 1993. We appreciate your i
cooperation with us in this matter.
