Dear Mr. DeLaBarre:
1 Enclosed is an application for an export license (XSNM02766), recently received by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, for the export of 9 grams of uranium-233 contained in solid oxide powder of recovered Th-229. The Th-229 will be used to extract the daugther Ac-227 which will be tested as an antibody labelling isotope in Germany.
Before taking ae. tion on this request, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the requested export meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.
