NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 70-1257/93-09 This refers to the routine inspection conducted by Messrs. C. A. Hooker and K.
Brewer of this office on July 26-30, 1993.
The inspection included a review of activities authorized for your Siemens Power Corporation facility in Richland, Washington. At the conclusion of the inspection, the findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during this-inspection are described in the enclosed inspection report. Within these areas, the inspection consisted of selective l
l examinations of procedures and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observations of activities in progress.
The purpose of the i
inspection was to determine whether activities authorized by the license were l
l conducted safely and in accordance with NRC requirements.
Based on the results of this inspection, certain of your activities appeared r
i to be in violation of NRC requirements. The enclosed inspection report describes two violations that are not being cited because the criteria in Section VII.B of the Enforcement Policy were satisfied.
I In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the Commission's regulations, a copy of this letter and the enclosure will be placed in the NRC's Public Document Room.
