-t As a followup to the briefing given to the Commission on the. reevaluation of
.l the design basis threat on April 22, 1993, the NRC' staff has been directed by the Commission to obtain industry's estimate of the costs to implement the various options contained in SECY-93-102. The Commission also requested '
l information on the utility costs for security a+ nuclear power plants.. A copy of the memorandum making this request is enclosed. We understand that you have a copy of SECY-93-102 and, therefore, we are not enclosing that document.
I We would like to meet with appropriate NUMARC personnel as soon as possible to-e facilitate your response.
i In order to meet our suspense date of June 4, 1993, we will need to have your response by May 27, 1993.
