BYRON UNIT I, CYCLE 6 FUEL ASSEMBLY RECONSTITUTION (TAC NO. M86018)
By letter dated March 16, 1993, Commonwealth Edison Company transmitted their reload safety evaluation process for the substitution of a single stainless steel filler rod for a failed fuel rod in one fuei assembly for Byron Station Unit I.
We have reviewed your letter describirg tne reload safety evaluation process and find that the proposed approach is acceptable for the Cycle 6 fuel reconstitution as discussed in the enclosed safety evaluation.
