Enclosed for the information of the Subcommittee is a copy of a notice of a final rulemaking to be published in the Federal Reoister.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is amending its regulations for nonreactor licensees on decommissioning recordkeeping and license termination documentation.
These changes will establish more explicit requirements on decommissioning recordkeeping and license termination documentation to assure that all affected licensees will have the necessary records to thoroughly decontaminate their facilities and sites at the time of decommissioning and provide the NRC with the necessary recordkeeping information needed for the NRC to authorize termination of a license.
