HRC INSPECTION REPORT 50-482/93-18
This refers to the inspection conducted by Mr. L. D. Gilbert of this office on
June 7-11 and 21-25, 1993. The inspection included a review of activities
authorized for your Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating facility. At the conclusion
of the inspection, the findings were discussed with you and those members of
your staff identified in the enclosed report.
Areas examined during the inspection are idcntified in the report. Within
these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures
and representative records, and interviews with personnel. The results of
this inspection are documented on page 1, in the enclosed report.
It is our understanding that, during the exit meeting conducted on June 25,
1993, Mr. T. Riley, Supervisor, Regulatory Compliance, made the following
commitments.
To update the response to Generic Letter 89-08 within 45 days from the
exit meeting to address the upgraded long-term erosion / corrosion
monitoring program; and
'
To complete clarifications to Quality Control Procedure QCI 12.1-503,
" Ultrasonic Examination for Component Wall thinning," by September 15,
1993.
If your understanding of these commitments differs from ours, please contact
me immediately.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of
this letter and its enclosure will be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
