Dear Sir:
The reference 1 letter submitted Philadelphia Electric Company's (PECo) Technical Specification Change Request (TSCR) 92-11.
Reference 2 submitted PECo's TSCR 92-10, This letter revises both TSCRs to reflect changes agreed upon between PECo and the NRC staff during the review of the TSCRs.
The revisions r
are intended to provide clarity and to correct a typographical error, respectively.
TSCR 92-11 originally requested a change to the PBAPS Technical Specifications (TS) to amend pages 240u and 240w in support of modification 5280.
Modification 5280 replaces the existing outdated Terra Technology Corporation seismic monitoring instrumentation with a new solid state system manufactured by Kenemetrics.
The Kenemetrics system consists of SSA-3 recorders, an SSP-1 computer and new triaxial accelerometers.
Because the function of the seismic monitoring system remains unchanged, PECo is requesting the NRC review and approve the proposed TSCR only, not the modification itself.
