Dear Dr. Doan:

We greatly appreciate the opportunity that we had to present information i

l Enclosed are 25 copies of e report we have prepared covering preliminary information on the nuclear power plant that we are proposing to build for service in 1970.

The information is essentially the same as that presented to you in our meeting at your offices on March 7 However, ve have made appropriate additions in response to questions that you raised in tne meeting.

i We invite your further consideration of our proposed site and understand that you desire to confer uformally with the Advisory Committee on Reactor Safeguards.

]

We vould be pleased to arrange a site visit for members of your staff and ACRS to facilitate the evaluation process.

1 As related in our meeting, we have made no public announcement of our plan to build a nuclear power plant and do not intend to do so until May 4, the date of our annual Shareholders Meeting.

Public announeetuent of our plan vould be i

made much more effective if we could receive a letter from you by about April 15 setting forth your informal review of the proposed site with a conclusion that the site is satisfactory provided appropriate engineered safeguards are included in the plant design. We realize that time is short, but we would greatly appreci-ate whatever you can do to enhance our public announcement.

We desire that this inquiry be kept on a confidential basis until our public announcement and understand that you can take steps to insure that the matter does not become a part of the public record until it is appropriate.

If you desire further information, please telephone me at 612-330-5927 Yours very truly, A. V. Dienhart Manager of Engineering h % $
