SUBJECT:
MEETING TO DISCUSS PHYSICAL SECURITY HELD ON AUGUST 8, 1990 The NRC staff requested the meeting to obtain data on the performance of the physical security system at STP during the approximately 16 months since STP-2 was licensed.
The staff is particularly interested not only in the hardware performance, but also the effect of the hardware performance on the other portions of the security program.
A list of attendees is provided as.
The licensee made a presentation in which data related to the performance of the intrusion detection system wan presented.
Also, included was a discussion of the adequacy of system performance and the effort required to maintain the adequacy.
Recommended changes to the compensatory measures taken in response to anomalous conditions were made by the licensee.
The staff informed the licensee that the proposed changes would be considered and that the staff may contact the licensee in the future for further information or discussion.
The staff has determined that the hand-out from the meeting should be protected from public disclosure as safeguards information.
