I am writing in response to your letter dated July 9,1990, and as followup to i
your telephone conversation with Dr. Carl H. Berlinger of July 17, 1990.
I wish to inform you, after an extensive search of the Federal Register, that the NRC has never received an' exemption request nor have we either granted or denied a request for waiver to the requirements for reporting of defects and' noncompliance under 10 CFR Part 21 relative to: insulation materials.
