Docket No. 50-320 Subject 1 PROPOSED IMPOSITION OF CIVIL PENALTY - $50,000 This 1s to inform the Cosnission that a-Notice of Violation and Proposed Imposition of Civil Penalty in the amount of $50,000 will be issued on or about July 30, 1990 to GPU Nuclear. Additionally, a Notice of: Violation will be isstied to a former shift supervisor at TMI-2. The action against GPU is based on the licensee's failure to take appropriate action to resolve inatten-tiveness allegations concerning the shift supervisor. The staff submitted this action for the Conaission's review in SECY-90-225.which has been approved by the Connission.
It should be noted that the licensee has not been specifically informed of the enforcement action. The schedule of issuance and notification is:

Tn'e licensee has thirty days from the date of the Notice in which'to respond.
Following NRC evaluation of the response, the civil penalty may be remitted, mirigated, or imposed by Order.
