' Marysville Plastics Corporation General License (10 CFR 31.5)

As a resu'lt of the inspection conducted on June 7,1990, and in accordance with the " General Statement of Policy and Procedure for NRC Enforcement Actions," 10 CFR Part 2, Appendix C (1989) (Enforcement Policy) the following violation was identified:
10 CFR 31'.S(c)(8) requires that any person who acquires, receives, possesses, uses, or transfers byproduct material in a device pursuant to the general license in paragraph (a) of this section, transfer or dispose of the device -
only by transfer to a person holding a specific license to receive the device.
Co'ntrary to the above, during the period of September 1988 to July 1989, a NRD, Model P2051, static eliminator containing a nominal 10 millicuries of polonium-210 was transferred or disposed of in an unauthorzed manner.
_This is-a Severity' Level IV violation (Supplement VI).
- The inspection showed that steps had been taken to correct the identified violation and to prevent recurrence. Consequently, no reply to the violation is required and we have no further questions regarding this matter.
