Dear Mr. Iverson:

During last' week's meeting, our= local Director of Emergency; i

Management, Robert-G. Gale, presented us with-the 1991 budget for the New flampshire Radiological Emergency Response Plan.

In approving the budget proposal, it occurred to as that the 1990 annual town meeting adopted an article which changes the Town's approach to emergency response planning as follows:

To allow the selectmen and other: appropriate Town officials to participate in the-emergency response planning process in the event that the Seabrook Nuclear Plant receives a fullipower license and~to develop and implement emergency response plans for the town in the event of a nuclear of any'other emergency situation.

In addition to-this action, the 1989 annual' town meeting directed that the Board of selectmen cease spending additional encumbered. funds raised in 1986 for the legal services of Robert hearings for Seabrook Station.Backus to represent the Town at the evacu l-We look forward to working with you in the development of plans which can respond effectively to the needs of the~ people of L

llampton Falls in.the event of a life threatening emergency t

If we can be of further service, please feel free to call us 926-7101.

at Sincerely yours,

. Y./ ^ ~) M S S Xenneth D.
