SUMMARY
OF MEETING REGARDING PROPOSED LICENSE AMENDMENTS On June 20, 1990, the staff met with the River Bend Station Nuclear Licensing Director to discuss proposed license amendments that have been submitted for staff review. These included removing snubber requirements from the technical specifications and relocating the requirements into the Inservice Inspection program, allowing one loop of RHR to be used as ECCS and one loop for shut.
down cooling, Gulf States Utilities' (GSU's) response to Generic Letter 88 01, increasing allowable suppression pool temperature from 95'F to 100'F, diesel generator crankshaft inspection, and GSU's response to 87 09. The staff also discussed plans for implementation of parts of Regulatory Guide 1.97, the status of hydrogen control issues, and River Bend's conversion to the standard technical specifications.
