Dear Mr. Thorne:
Enclosed is an export license application from Westinghouse Electric Corporation, dated June 28, 1990, for the export of plant monitoring and control systems for Hochovce Units 1 and 2 in Czechoslovakia.- The proposal covers upgrades to safety related equipment, primary and secondary control systems, plant information systems and control room systems. Please note that the applicant's cover letter and attachments to the application contain company proprietary information and will not be placed in the NRC Public Document Room. This information should be during the Executive Branch review process.given corresponding protection Before.taking action on this request, we would appreciate your obtaining the necessary assurances under Section 109 of the Atomic Energy Act and receiving your views, from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed export meets the other applicable criteria of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954.
