Newton, Jr. is resigning from the position of Director of the Worcester Polytechnic Institute Nuclear Reactor Facility.

Professor John A. Mayer, Jr. is to be named Acting Director until i

a replacement for Mr. Newton can be found.

Since Mr. Newton will remain at the WPI Reactor on a part-time basis, he still has need of his senior operator's license for the foreseable future.
