Dear Ms. Connor:
~ his is in response to your letter dated June 17, 1982, in which you i
requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, a list of all meetings that the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research has held this year (or the meeting notices).
We noted that your letter referred to "the Division of Nuclear Reactor Research".
There is no such division in the NRC, so we assumed you were referencing the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research, and we are responding accordingly.
We have determined that the NRC does not have a list of all meetings that the Office of Nuclear Regulatory Research (RES) has held this year.
However, a copy of a Weekly Information Report is regularly placed in the NRC Public Document Room located at 1717 H Street, N.W., Washington, DC.
In such weekly reports RES does mention major meetings that occur, but each meeting that is held is not recorded, and RES does not record in a register a comprehensive list of every meeting that may take place.
Starting on approximately June 11, 1982, the Weekly Information Report shows, in tabular form, meeting notices for major forthcoming meetings, whereas in previous issues meeting details were shown under each office's section of the report.
This completes action on your request.
