SUBJECT:

SUM 4ARY OF APRIL 16, 1982 CRBR REVIEW MEETING A meeting was held April 16, 1982 to discuss TMBDB status. The subjects e discussed were the results of the Larger Component Test (LCT) conducted at HEDL and sodium concrete penetration. Mr. L. O. Muhlestein indicated that there was significant pour water releases at 200 F0 - 400 F0 between limestone basalt and magnetite. In addition, the rate of release of s

water hydration was essentially the same beyond 4000F.

Lee Strawbridge stated that the rate of concrete penetration of 7" per hour, for'3' hours, and 1" per' hour generally bounded known experiments.,-

Therefore this value was Med as input to CACECO for radiological and i structural evaluations, trawbridge stated that even when they con- '

ducted parametric stud' ..sg a constant rate of 7 inches /hr con-tainment venting was not required before 10. hours. If the reactor ,

, containment building is vented and annulus cooling is initiated at 10 hours1.157407e-4 days
0.00278 hours
1.653439e-5 weeks
3.805e-6 months
(high penetration rate) as opposed to 36 hours4.166667e-4 days
0.01 hours
5.952381e-5 weeks
1.3698e-5 months
the steel con-tainment shell tunperatures are approximately 400 0 F for either case.

The vent rates are approximately the same. Utilizing the scrubbers during the vent process the radiological releases were' calculated to be within Part 100.
