23555 SURJECT: Zion Station Units 1 and 2 Fuel Management _ Topical Report NRC Docket Nos. 50-295 and 50-304 REFEREICE (a): May 29, 1981 letter from T. R. Tramn to H. R. Denton.
Dear Mr. Denton:
As indicated in Reference (a), Conmonwealth Edison Company (CBCo) personnel met with NRC Staff personnel on May 12, 1981 to discuss CECO's Pressurized Water Reactor (PWR) fuel management capability and the projected contents of CBCo's PWR Fuel Management Topical Report. A schedule for irrplementation of the CBCo program for Zion Unit 1 Cycle 8 in the Sprirg of 1983 was also presented.
Due to an extended outage for stean generator repairs at the end of Cycle 6 this Spring, the Cycle 8 schedule has been delayed six months to the Fall of 1983. CBCo's fuel managanent schedule has also been correspondirgly delayed. Attachnent 1 illustrates the original schedule dates contained in Reference (a) as well as the revised schedule dates.
'Ihis information is being provided at this time to accmmodate the NRC Staff in plannirg its topical report review priorities.
In adhering to this schedule, CECO has inposed nunerous internal schedular constraints. As such, CBCo requests the Staff's concurrence or conments on the revised schedule of Attachnent 1 by September 1,1982.
