Dear Mr. Stolz:
Your letter dated March 8, 1982 (Log No. 918) requested additional information concerning Masonry Wall Design, IE Bulletin 80-11, as it relates to Davis-Besse Nuclear Power Station Unit No.
1.
Toledo Edison responded to all the concerns except one in our May 3, 1982 and June 16, 1982 submittals (Serial Nos. 814 and 826). The remaining concern was a scchedule for the conclusion of the wall modifications.
Toledo Edison is currently in an extended refueling outage that has caused a considerable slippage in most work items not outage related.
The reasons for this are all related to the reallocation of resources to ensure a timely return of Davis-Besse to power operation. Upon completian of the outage related work, resources may once again be scheduled for more routine work.
Based on our estimates at this time, Toledo Edison expects to complete the block wall modifications associated with IE Bulletin 80-11 work by November 1983.
