UNIT 1 - EMERGENCY PREPAREDN_ESS EXERCISE Gentlemen:

At a meeting held in Chicago on April 21, 1982 involving Federal, State and utility personnel, the next emergency preparedness exercise for the Wm. H.

Zimmer Nuclear Power Station was scheduled for November 16-17, 1982.

In accord with the agreement reached at this meeting to the effect that "(a)ny party wishing to change the date of an exercise shall secure the agreement of all affected parties," this letter will serve as notification that CG&E sees an advantage to rescheduling the next exercise during the Spring of 1983.

A conference call is scheduled for Wednesday, July 21, 1982, at 2 p.m.

(cincinnati time) to obtain agreement among FEMA Region IV, FEMA Region V, NRC Region III, Kentucky DES, Ohio DSA and CG&E as to an acceptable date for the next exercise.

CG&E will contact each organ-ization prior to this date and make the necessary arrangements for the call.
