Dear Mr. Pevenstein:
This is in response to your letter dated May 21, 1982 in which you requested, pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act nonproprietary versions of technical proposals submitted under NRC Request for Proposal No. RS-RES-81-223 by Battelle Pacific Northwest Laboratories (Battelle) and two divisions of Science Applications, Incorporated (SAI).
This confirms information relayed during telephone conversations between you and Linda Robinson on June 10 and 15,1982 in which you agreed to an extension of time for our response to your request.
At that time you further narrowed the scope of your request to the technical proposals submitted by Battelle and one division of SAI, and the best and final offer by the other division of SAI since the best and final offer and the original proposal vary only slightly.
The requested records, as identified on the enclosed appendix, are enclosed.
We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
