PROPOSED IE BULLETIN-ALTERATION OF RADIOGRAPHS OF WELDS IN PIPING SUBASSEMBLIES y
Enclosed for yogi' information is a copy of a draft of the subject proposed IE Bulletin, As soon as we receive and resolve comments from the various NRC offices,we will be submitting the bulletin for CRGR review.
We intend to request an expedited _CRGR review as a Category I requirement under the provisions of III D of the TRGR Charter. The urgency for action is based on the potential. safety significance of initiating operation at affected NT0L's before resolving que.stionable weld radiographs.
Resolution of this issue is required before a determination can be made that the affected facility has been

constructed substantially in accordance with NRC requirements and the application.
