ZZ ZZk)ZZ Turbine / Reactor trip due to an in-dicated " stator water cooling low-flow" signal. Actual cooling water flow was not lost. The control air supply for the stator cooling water instrumentation was inadvertently lost when attempting to valve out a branch line to the office building.
The branch line was removed from the air header. The unit remained out of service to repair a feed-water isolation valve until 820521.
100% rer-tor power was reached _on 820522.

1 of 1 MONTHLY OPERATING ACTIVITIES - MAY, 1982 Highlights:
The Unit entered the reporting period at 100% power and essentially stayed at this level until 0915 hours0.0106 days
0.254 hours
0.00151 weeks
3.481575e-4 months
, May 19, 1982 when the Unit tripped due to a false low pressure stator water indication from the main electrical generator.
The Unit was restarted and reached 100% power at 1800 hours0.0208 days
0.5 hours
0.00298 weeks
6.849e-4 months
, May 22, 1982. The Unit remained at 100% power for the remainder of the reporting period.
Summary:
5/19/82 0915 hours0.0106 days
0.254 hours
0.00151 weeks
3.481575e-4 months
- Unit trip from indicated low pressure in the generator cooling water stator cooling system.
5/21/82 1815 hours0.021 days
0.504 hours
0.003 weeks
6.906075e-4 months
- Reactor critical.

50-315 UNIT NAME D. C. Cook - Unit No. 1 DATE 6-14-82 COMPLETED BY B. A. Svensson TELEPHONE (616) 465-5901 PAGE 1 of 1 MAJOR SAFETY-RELATED MAINTENANCE MAY, 1982 M-1 No. 4 steam generator power-operated relief valve, MRV-243, was leaking-by.
Replaced the valve stem, plug and cage. Reassembled with new gaskets and had valve tested.
M-2 WM0-702, the west ESW pump discharge valve would not shut. Replaced the valve and had it tested.
C&I-l_
Axial power distribution system sequencer No. 1 would not go through a normal sequence when in the ' test' mode. The sequence timer card-and 5 VDC power supplies were replaced to correct the sequencer prob-lems.
However, the central processor card proved to be defective and was shipped to Westinghouse Corporation for repair. The system was returned to normal operation following check-out of the repaired cards and the maintenance panel.
C&I-2 Pressurizer relief discharge temperature indicator, NTA-152, was oscillating. The problem was traced to the resistance-to-current converter (R/I) in the temperature indication loop. An electrolytic capacitor had broken loose from the converter circuit board. Re-placement of the capacitor restored correct temperature read-out to NTA-152.
C&I-3 Power-operated relief valves, MRV-223 and MRV-233, on steam generators Nos. 2 and 3 respectively were leaking-by.
Relay boosters for these PORVs were rebuilt and the proper valve stroke was verified to elimin-ate the leak-by.
C&I-4 Annunciator panel " GAP" in the Control Room had all lights illuminated after a lightning strike on May 18, 1982. Annunciator card No. 44 i
had been damaged by the lightning strike, and was replaced with a spare circuit card to clear the annunciators on panel " GAP".
i i
i C&I-5 Containment air particulate process monitor, R-ll, developed a chat-tering relay in its electronics drawer. Troubleshooting the drawer revealed a high value of AC ripple on the low voltage power supply.
The defective power supply was replaced.
R-ll was then tested and declared operable.
