In accordance with provisions of letter dated December 22, 1981, Alabama Power Company stated that a Class A model [ Emergency Dose Calculational Model (EDCM)] would be operational by July 1, 1982.
Due to unexpected hardware and sof tware interface diffi-culties, full operational status for Alabama Power Company's Class i

Currently all required sof tware design and hardware installation has been completed for the EDCM.
The EDCM system consists of the following modules:
1.
Data Acquisition 2.
Isotopic Data Calculation 3.
Plume Processing 4.
Emergency Dose Calculation, Reporting and Graphics Each module consists of several software units.
All EDCM system sof tware has been coded and is in the process of unit testing.
Module and system testing has not yet been completed, however, puff l
model plumes are capable of being generated at this time.
A manual calculational model is incorporated into the present Emergency Plan l
and appropriate plant personnel are trained in its use.
