RESAR Data Acquisition via NRC to INEL REF: Westinghouse Letter, Rahe to Speis, NS-EPR-2607, May 27,1982

Dear Mr. Speis:

The subject material, as identified by the reference letter, is being pro-vided to the NRC pursuant to a meeting of April 13, 1982 at Bethesda, Maryland.

The material is to assist the NRC in confirming conservatism in the Westing-house models and calculations. It is generic plant information and not in-tended for docket at this time. To expedite review, the material as itemized in the reference letter was provided in draft form as a proprietary information precursor to subsequent material that may be needed for docket.

The material will not be employed as part of a license application or other action identified in 10CFR 2.790(a) at this time. It will be separately sub-mitted with an Application for Withholding accompanied by an Affidavit meeting the requirements of 10CFR 2.790(b) prior to such use.

Accordingly, we request that the material be treated as proprietary informa-tion within the provisions of 10CFR 9.5(4), " Freedom of Information Act Regu-lations." If there is a need to make public disclosure of the material prior to a separate Westinghouse submittal for docket in accordance with the pro-visions of 10CFR 2.790(a), please notify Westinghouse prior to making a dis-closure determination.

Correspondence with respect to the proprietary aspects of this submittal should reference AW-82-30 and should be addressed to the undersigned.
