NUCLEAR REGULATORY COHt1ISSION DOCKET NOS. 50-513 & 50-509 WASHINGTON PUBLIC POWER SUPPLY SYSTEH WASilINGTON NUCLEAR PROJECT HOS. 4 & 5 ISSUAtlCE OF DIRECTOR'S DECISION UNDER 10 CFR 2.206 Notice is hereby given that the Director, Office of Nuclear Reactor Regula-tion, has denied two petitions under 10 CFR 2.206 filed by the Coalition for Safe Power of Portland, Oregon. The petitions asked that the Director revoke the con-struction permit for WHP No. 4 on the basis of a material false statenent in an application for extension of the permit and revoke the pemits for WNP No. 4 and WNP Ho. 5 in view of the Washington Pubite Power Supply Systen's recent termina-tion of its participation in the two projects. The petitions have been denied because no material false statement was made in the extension appitcation and because no compelling reason exists at this time for revoking the pemits.
The reasons for this denial are fully described in a " Director's Decision Under 10 CFR 2.206" which is available for public inspection in the URC's public document rooms at 1717 11 Street, N.W., Washington, D. C. 20555, the Richland Public Library, Swift & Northgate Streets, P.ichland, WA 99352, and the W. H. Abel Memorial Library,125 Main Street, South, Montesano, WA 98563. A copy of the decision will be filed with the Secretary for the Comnission's review in accord-ance with 10 CFR 2.206(c).
