" Board") for the Limerick plants, in its Special Prehearing Conference Order (hereinafter " Order") of June i, 1962,

Action's (hereinaf ter " LEA") ' contentions, as well as those of other intervenors, with the direction that those contentions are i
to be "made specific at the appropriate future time to be estab-lished based on the information later supplied by the Applicant."
See Order, pp. 101-2.
Intervenors are put on notice that failure to do so, or to explain why a contention cannot be further specified will result in automatic dismissal of the contention.
LEA requests that this aspect of the Board's Order be clarified.

L future time to be established" (Order at p. 102), the Board intends to set time limits for such specification so that intervenors will not inadvertently fail'to specify in a timely fashion.
It is hoped that such time limits will be made clear in the near future, since the need to so specify could arise at any time as the Applicant continues to amend its application.
l Is it the Board's intention that such specification in response to new information will not begin until after informal discovery is completed September 30?
Second, LEA requests that the Board specify a procedure for the Applicant to follow in furnishing information responsive to conditionally admitted contentions.
Particularly, LEA requests j
4 that the Applicant be required to state the point at which it has supplied all the information it intends to supply (as application amendments) concerning the subject matter of a particular con-tention.
Such a procedure will avoid the confusion and excess paperwork of preparing and responding to prematurely filed new contentions.
Also, particularly for those intervenors with a limited number of contentions covering narrow subject matter (and generally without legal counsel), it would be most helpful if the Applicant were to give notification that particular application amendments contain information relevant to particular contentions.
Very large quantities of information are being submitted by the Applicant as amendments to the application with increasing i
frequency.
It is LEA's hope that intervenors, especially those l
without counsel, will not be expected to engage in hunting expedi-

tions through stacks-of material irrelevant to their contentions in order to avoid the risk of having their contentions d.s::issed for failure to specify.
