SUBJECT:

N ETING SUP9%RY On May 27, 1982. the NRC staff representative from Power Systems Branch (PSB) met with applicant representatives at the United Engineers and Constructors, Inc. offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Enclosures 1 and 2 are copies of the meeting notice and attendance roster.

The meeting proceeded within the framework described in the agenda. It was agreed at the beginning of the meeting that di scussions should first focus on clarification of PSB (electrical) open items. Any remaining time would than be devoted to discussfog the adequacy of any proposed applicant responses.

The meeting produced the following results:

1. The entire time was ~ devoted to discussions of open item claftfica-tions.
2. The applicant has sufficient infomation to respond sptisfactori ly to most of the open items. Formal responses will be fomarded for staff review.
3. Time limitations prevented addressing all of the items. The few remaining items will be carried forward to the next meeting.
4. Also to' be carried fomardt.to the next meeting will be a small numberfof items requirihg more information than what was readily available at this mejeting.

All the open items discussed will appear in a preliminary draft of the Safety Evaluation Report (SER) to be forwarded to the applicant in the near future. The draft SER is not going to be delayed to accommodate the results of this meeting.
