This letter constitutes an interim report concerning the subject condition reported under the requirements of 10CFR50.55(e).
As a result of preliminary evaluations concerning elec-trical separation, CG&E has deemed that Item E-19 is reportable.
The Architect-Engineer did not adequately translate applicable electrical separation criteria into the installation specifica-tions and/or drawings for those items to be routed by the contractor.
As a result, the site general contractor could not adequately develop all inclusive electrical separation inspection criteria.
Corrective Action Reports have been issued to the Architect-Engineer instructing him to adequately translate the design basis into the installation specifications. Further evalua-tion is required to properly assess proposed corrective action replies and the design basis for electrical separation to determine the proper corrective action to be taken.
