As required by 10CFR50.54 attached are thfrteen (13) copies (3 copies to Mr. Collins and 10 copies to Mr. Eisenhut) of Amendment Number 4 to the l
AN0 Emergency Plan and Amendment Number 1 to the AP&L Nuclear Contingency Plan and Procedures.
The changes which make up these amendments are a result of further refinement of these plans and-procedures, incorporating l
NRC, INP0 and in-house comments.
It was determined, followig a review of these Amendments, that these changes will increase the effectiveness of the plans.
The plans, a', changed, continue to meet the standards of 10CFR50.47 and the requirements of Appendix E to that part.

May 12, 1982 Mr. Darrell G. Eisenhut Revision 1 to Contingency Plan Procedure 9 will incorporate AP&L's agreement with Oak Ridge for high level post accident sampling as committed in our letter to Mr. Collins dated April 8, 1982 (9CAN648205).
This revision will be completed by July 31, 1982.
4 Names and telephone numbers have been deleted from the attached Contingency Procedure due to their proprietary nature.
