LICENSE AMENDMENT APPLICATION DATED MAY 4, 1982 I.
Backgroug Pacific Gas and Electric is licensed under NRC Materials License No. SNM-1667 for the receipt and storage of fuel for eventual use in the Diablo Canyon Unit 2.
The license is scheduled to expire June 30, 1982. The application requests that the license expiration date be extended to June 30, 1983.
II.
Discussion The need for an extension of the license exr,fration date is due 32 licensing delays. Extending the expiration date does not affect the radiological safety, nuclear safety, or other parameters dn which the issuance of the ifcense was based.
III.
Recommendation On the basis of the above, I recommend that the license extension, as requested by the licensee, be approved.
