The employee is a student at University of Nebraska in Omaha and is attending i

i She purportedly was carrying the weapon for self protection related to the evening study and forgot to remove it from her purse before mporting for work.
The licensee indicates that she has been employed for about 2 weeks.
The licensee notified the Washington County Sheriff. The Sheriff was able to substantiate the employee's story of why she was carrying the weapon, and he will not refer the case to the' County Attorney. The licensee did not request that the employee be arrested.
i A licensee representative infomed RIV that the Nebraska law is vague on the subject of carrying weapons; although, carrying a concealed weapon is illegal.
1 The employee's security badge mmains pulled and her site access has been terminated.
The resident reactor inspector is monitoring the licensee's followup. Also a RIV physical security representative will follow this item.
One Omaha TV station became aware of the occurrence, but apparently has not broadcast a report of it.
