6 SUPPLEMENT TO MARCH 29, 1982 LETTER TO MR. DENTON FROM MR. BORGMANN
Dear Mr. Denton:
This letter is intended to provide additional information and clarification in response to Mr. Eisenhut's September 24, 1981 letter to Mr. Borgmann.
Mr. Eisenhut's letter concerned the possible impact of MK II Long Term Program Loads on the Zimmer Plant.
Our response of March 29, 1982 stated that the current design basis was adequate and referenced both the Zimmer DAR and NRC memorandum in support.
We would like to clarify that statement to assure the Staff that we remain committed to a final evaluation comparing the Zimmer design basis to the final long term MK II Loads.
We propose to provide such an evaluation addressing both SRV and LOCA loads when the results of the Zimmer in-plant SRV test are available.
Our current schedule calls for Zimmer fuel loading in late 1982.
The Zimmer in-plant SRV test will be conducted as soon as possible thereafter.
The confirmatory evaluation will be provided six months after completion of the SRV test.
