LER 50-368/82-011 Gentlemen:
This letter confirms the conversation between Mr. W. D. Johnson (ANO Resident NRC Inspector) and Mr. J. P. O'Hanlon (ANO General Manager) at 0947 hours0.011 days <br />0.263 hours <br />0.00157 weeks <br />3.603335e-4 months <br /> on April 16, 1982.
In this conversation, Mr. O'Hanlon notified Mr. Johnson of a potentially reportable item under Tech Spec 6.9.1.8.C.
At 1415 hours0.0164 days <br />0.393 hours <br />0.00234 weeks <br />5.384075e-4 months <br /> on April 15, 1982, a leak was discovered inside containment in the "B" steam generator blow down line between valve 2CV1065 and the contain-ment penetration. This occurrence caused entry into the action statement of Tech Spec 3.6.1.1.
The outside containment isolation valve (2CV1066-1) was promptly closed to assure containment integrity. The unit was operating at full power at the time of discovery.
The unit is presently shutdown.
The steam generator blow down line will be repaired prior to startup.
