Dear Mr. Engelken:

IE Bulletin 79-14 g

Seismic Analyses of Safety-Related Piping Sys PGE's supplementary letter of December 28, 1981 in response to IE Bulletin 79-14 committed to provide the results of seismic reanalysis of nine valves by April 1982. Four valves have been reanalyzed to demon-strate their acceptability without modifications.

However, due to difficulty in seismic calculations, the reanalysis of the remaining five valves has not been completed to date.

It is currently expected that the reanalysis of the remaining five valves will be completed by August 1982, at which time PGE will provide a complete result of the reanalysis of all nine valves including a description of modifications, if any.

Sincerely, Bart D. Withers Vice President Nuclear i
