Dear Mr. Stoiber:
Enclosed please find a letter from Edlow International Company requesting export license XB001110 be ameaded to increase the quantity of tritium authorized for export from 100,000 curies to 600,000 curies and to extend the expiration date from January 1,1983 to January 1,1985.
Before taking action on this license amendment, we would appreciate your views, in accordance with established procedures and from the overall perspective of the Executive Branch, as to whether the proposed amendment meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 as amended by the Nuclear Non-proliferation Act of 1978.
