The purpose of this letter is to confirm discussion on March 11, 1982 between Kerr-McGee personnel and Winston Burkhardt of say staff.
It is our understanding that you intend to provide suppleaental infonnation to your Ja.,ua ry 11, 1982 request regarding contaiainated liquid voluiae reduction by ion exchange means and that the additional infonaation will include:
A request for authorization to operate the additional ion exchange systua located in Rooia 601.
A brief description of the proposed ion exchange systeus and nuclear safety considerations.
A cuaaitment to the controls and action level for discharge of the ion exchange effluent to the lagoon.
If additional clarification is required, please contact Mr. Burkhardt of my staff.
