The State of Louisiana served an (undated) Petition Fo ihyg Y

To Participate As An Interested State In Facility Operating License Proceedings And For A Hearing Of The Issue Raised Sua Sponte On March 18, 1982. The Board received'the Petition in the morning of April 16, 1982.-

On April 16, 1982, absent objections, the Board permitted Linda B. Watkins, Esq., Assistant Attorney General of the State of Louisiana, to listen to the discussion and arguments of the parties during a conference call initiated by the Board.

During the course of the conference call, the Board orally granted Applicant's motion of March 26, 1982, wherein we had been requested to reconsider our ol Memorandum and Order of March 18, 1982 which had raised a sua sponte issue, and we stated that thus our sua sponte issue was withdrawn, a204210472 820420 PDR ADOCK 05000

<.. Accordingly, since the sua sponte issue has been withdrawn, the instant Petition is denied. Louisiana may, however, pursuant to 10 C.F.R. 2.714(a)(1)or 2.715(c), file a petition for leave to intervene or to participate and set forth therein the specific aspect or aspects of the subject matter as to which the State wishes to intervene or to participate.

Among other things, the State should show good cause, if any, for its failure to file in a timely manner.
